As you may know already, this is my dog and best pal Daisy.
Daisy has been having some health problems lately and will be spending Monday at the vet for her third day of tests to determine what my wife and I can do to help her through it. Nina and I thank you all for your kindness and support as Daisy goes through this . We have every reason to believe that Daisy’s medical issues are manageable and that we have many more days together; hopefully we’ll know more very soon.
UPDATE – Daisy’s tests have come back and while she has been diagnosed with Cushing’s it looks like it is the treatable kind (not the type caused by cancer). While she will need to be on medication for the rest of her dog days we’re optimistic that there are a lot of those days ahead.

Daisy is adorable. Will be thinking of you guys at the vet tomorrow. It’s good she has a loving family who cares for her so much.
Thinking healthy thoughts!
Daisy has an entire network of “Aunts” and “Uncles” right behind you guys.
We’ll be sending her all the healing we can!

Stay strong, girl.
I’m sending magic healing elves Daisy’s way!
She’s one of my favorite snuggly pups in the world!

Aw, not Daisy! Hope everything goes well.
My fingers are crossed for you guys- I hope Daisy will be ok.
Very, very best wishes for you guys and your fur buddy. She is adorable and I know she’ll come out on top.
We lost one of our fur pals over Thanksgiving. Very thankful for our two remaining. (yeah, we’re perilously close to being the crazy cat couple.)
Soda & I are sending Daisy our love!
Best thoughts for Daisy. Sadie hopes she gets well soon too!
Awww, sending over some good vibes for Daisy!
Hope Daisy is doing better.
Prayers and hugs for your best friend.
You know I’m thinking good thoughts for your sweet girl. We’re going through some stuff here at my Old Dogs Home, so I know how hard it can be. If I’ve learned nothing else from my four-legged babies, I’ve learned that they can be pretty tough and complain a lot less than I (we) do when sick or hurting. Hugs to Daisy, you, and Nina.
I, for one, would like to see Daisy posing in some racier photos…maybe a thong…
Oh no, much love and healthy wishes for Daisy and all your crew. She is an incredible and beautiful companion and Louis and I wish her all the best.
Hey guys! I wanted to let you know that my baby boy, a daschhund named Otto, has Cushing’s Disease. He has had it for 2 years. We just give him Marin and he is doing so well, he is perfectly healthy except for that. One vet wanted us to destroy his pituitary gland with drugs but we didn’t like that AT ALL and got a 2nd opinion, and that vet just prescribed him the Marin and it works just fine.
If you have any questions for us about the treatment, since we have been through this for awhile now, please e-mail me or let me know. I would love if our experience could help someone else.
Dachshund. I’m stupid today.
Thank you Nic. We are beginning her treatment today. We have an excellent vet and will be monitoring her closely. Thank you for the encouragement and we’re glad to see that your little guy is doing well.
