Stuff You Should Know About

While I don’t write about TV much, I watch a lot of it. Today, as the Writers Guild of America strike is entering a third week, you’ve no doubt realize that your favorite TV shows will soon run out of episodes…some already have, The Office has aired their final new episode for the foreseeable future and many other shows will follow suit in the next two weeks. So, what are we going to do? I suppose we could spend time with our families but that will get boring so, as a public service, I’d like to suggest a few things you should try out once you run out of shows to watch. I’ll be doing this regularly until the strike ends so check back for updates, since this is a blog I’ll be dedicating the first installment to other blogs.

Important Stuff You Should Check Out Volume One

1- Go read JustJENN, and buy the things she makes: I’m not a crafty person, so I hate people who are, because they can do something that I can’t. JustJENN is the craftiest person I know so I should hate her most of all but I can’t do it. Oh I’ve tried to hate her, but then I read something like this and I just can’t do it. Her stuff is for sale at actual stores too, not just those fakey markets. She also has a site of awesome stuff she designed here.

2- The CDP – Music, obese cats and a book on the way, it will be the best thing to come from Wisconsin since the Sausage Race.

3- Of the people who read this blog I don’t know who has been reading the longest but I think Leah is in the running. She’s also been to my house, attended my wedding and isn’t afraid to tell me when I’m being a jerk. If you read her blog she might call you a jerk someday too. Plus, her dad is a cool guy.

4- This last one goes without saying…if you’re not reading The Sneeze you should have your internet privileges revoked.

If you get done with those and still have time, see Vintage Caveman, See How Annie Is and then say hi to my wife.

On a completely unrelated note, I learned two valuable lessons this weekend:

1- When working with electricity, don’t touch live wires.
2- Touching live wires hurts, but not as bad as you think it will.
