One Down, Two Left
Less than 72 hours into the New Year and I have already crossed one item off of list of things to do in 2007, my car is fixed. After 12 days and roughly $1500 I have a rebuilt transmission, I picked it up last night and it is good to be back on the road. A sincere thank you to everyone who helped me to get this repair done, I could not have done it without you and I will forever be grateful to you for your kindness and generosity.
On a car related note, last night I was talking about cars with the soon to be Dr. Mrs. Be The Boy about cars we have driven and how we personalized them and I remembered my first car, a 1978 Pontiac Grand Prix, picked up by my father and given to me on the birthday after I got my drivers license. In the time I drove that car I only added one bit of personalization a sign that was made for me by my brother Dylan when he was 7 years old. Dylan took out his crayons and went to work on a sign that he told me was going to be the best sign ever made, he made me promise that I’d hang it in the car. I said I would but figured I’d just hang it for the day and take it down, then I saw the sign… I taped it to my dashboard where stayed up until I sold the car. Trust me, if your 7 year old brother made a sign that said “KICK ME HARD BITCH” you’d proudly display it too.
Finally, the answer to everyone’s questions following the recent announcement…first we are completely serious and second probably in May.
